WAYS TO SUPPORT BATCO

BATCO is taking action to bridge the gap between youth and professional theatre and provide more theater opportunities to local Bay Area artists

SUPPORT A BATCO SHOW

WHAT WILL YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO “HOW TO BE A WHITE MAN” AS A SHOW SPONSOR MEAN?

“How To Be A White Man” tells the story of Michelle, who is inches away from landing her dream job, but the doors of opportunity keep shutting in her face. Determined to get ahead, no matter what, Michelle decides what she really needs is white male privilege- and she figures out one hell of a way to get it.  This full-length comedy takes the audience on a wild journey as Michelle struggles to find her true self in a world stacked against her. With your support of “How To Be A White Man”, we can book local high-quality talent, improve the audience experience at every performance, and begin this year with meaningful momentum. Our 2017 season confronted the challenges of immigration and displacement as well as celebrated diversity and acceptance. In 2018, we seek out to tackle the themes of duality, intersectionality, and power. In light of these themes, we are producing the original work of two female playwrights of color this season, including Luna Malbroux. However, we need your help. Contributors are to thank for creating the space for these stories and more. Ticket sales only cover a fraction of the costs to mount these productions. Our contributors provide BATCO with the ability to offer a full season of performances, job opportunities, artists’ mentorship programs, and community outreach. We are establishing our presence in the community and giving back to it more and more each year thanks to you!
