PERFORMING ARTIST AUDITION WORKSHOP

Presented by African-American Shakespeare Co and SFBATCO

A workshop focussed on fine tuning your audition skills, led by African-American Shakespeare Company and SFBATCO.

This 6-session weekly workshop was led by multiple professional artists in the Bay, collectively pulling the best out of each participant. We helped artists workshop their monologues with L. Peter Callender; get their songs pitch perfect with Cole Thomason-Redus; master how to be their most present and professional self in the room with Rodney Earl Jackson Jr.; learn the dos and don'ts of self tapes and cold reads with Adam Maggio and Aidaa Peerzada; and get insider tips and tricks from a casting director who has seen it all, Amy Potozkin. All culminating in a final session with some of the Bay Area's finest Artistic Directors and leaders, including Sherri Young from African-American Shakespeare Co and Margot Hall from Lorraine Hansberry Theatre.

When: Saturdays, March 19th - April 23rd, 1PM - 5PM
Where: 460 Gough St, SF, CA
