Into the Woods with SFArtsED and SFBATCO
For us, theatre has always been about more than telling stories—it has been about building community, fostering empathy, and investing in the future. That’s why this co-production with SFArtsED holds such deep meaning.
SFBATCO would not exist without SFArtsED. Like many of the artists we work with, our first exposure to theatre came through SFArtsED programs. And now, in SFBATCO’s second decade as a company, we’re co-creating with the next generation—current students performing with seasoned professionals who once stood exactly where they now stand.
While Into the Woods marks a culmination of thirty years of SFArtsED summer camps, it also marks the beginning of what’s next; it’s a living example of the artist pipeline in action. The work we’re doing here—together—is planting seeds that will grow into something extraordinary, and it is only by doing this work that we can sustain the creative ecosystem that nurtures bold new voices and brave choices. And we’re proud to say we were a part of it.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting live theatre. And thank you for believing in the future of Bay Area artists.
Children do listen. We are proof.
