SFBATCO brings the brilliance of Black Broadway to Feinstein’s at the Nikko for a soul-stirring night of music, legacy, and joy.
Black Broadway is a dazzling celebration of the songs and shows that have defined generations of Black excellence on stage. Featuring powerhouse performances from Dreamgirls, The Wiz, Ain’t Misbehavin’, The Color Purple, Porgy & Bess, and more, this cabaret honors the artists, stories, and sounds that continue to shape musical theatre.

Anthone Jackson (Performer), a Bay Area Performing Artist is always excited to share the space with his SFBATCO family. Black Broadway has been instrumental in his love for theatre, his first show was The Wiz at 8, later performing in The Color Purple, Dreamgirls, and Ain't Misbehavin' to name a few. Big shout out to his wife, children and family for always supporting.

Majesty Pearl Scott

Majesty Pearl Scott (Performer) is a vocalist, actress, dancer, musician, and songwriter. She earned her BA in Theatre and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley. She has sung and continues to sing with many great Gospel and R&B artists professionally. Majesty has worked with the American Conservatory Theatre, the Lorraine Hansberry, Tracie Collins Productions, Broadway by the Bay, Berkeley Playhouse, Ray of Light Theatre, California’s Great America, RWS Productions, African American Shakespeare, Napa Valley Theatre and Hillbarn Theatre just to name a few. One of Majesty’s goals and dreams is to continue to share love and evoke unity in the community through the power of music and performing arts.

Rodney Earl Jackson Jr. (Performer) is the Artistic Director & Co-Founder of The San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Company (SFBATCO), now in its 12th year! He made his Broadway debut in “The Book of Mormon” the same summer he began the venture of SFBATCO. In his 35 years of life, he has been blessed to grace international stages, participate in workshop/development processes for major plays and pre-Broadway shows (such as Toni Stone and Ain’t Too Proud), and bring his artistic insights, creative experiences, and fresh ideas to his home theatre company: SFBATCO. A native of San Francisco, he cultivated his love and foundation for the performing arts, particularly theatre, through public city organizations such as SFartsEd, San Francisco Recreation & Park’s YPTMTC, and the Ruth Asawa SF School of the Arts, where he graduated from the theatre department. He proudly holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama, and he acknowledges the incredible support of the SFBATCO staff and board, who champion his vision and creative voice in the Bay Area. Additional theatre credits include Berkeley Repertory "Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations", SFBATCO's "I, Too, Sing America" & "Toni Stone" co-produced by Arena Stage and American Conservatory Theatre (ACT) where he is a proud member of the Board of Trustees. His directorial work was last seen at Zspace for the world premiere of “The Day the Sky Turned Orange”.
Jeannine Anderson

Jeannine Anderson (Performer), mezzo, brings a breadth of experiences to her career. She is a classically trained opera singer, who after college couldn’t decide which genre she preferred, so she chose many (Opera, Jazz, Broadway, Blues and Gospel). Ms. Anderson has toured across the United States and Europe, as a professional artist to perform operas and shows, and singing concerts and Oratorios. Jeannine has been featured on many recordings with local artists and bands showing off her range of styles in jazz, blues, gospel, and even pop gasp. Ms. Anderson made a return to the stage in Loraine Hansberry’s world premiere production of Halie: A Musical, in 2022. Most recently, Ms. Anderson reprised her role of Rema, in Post Pardon, an opera in production, in Maine. And was last seen in Campo Santo’s production of the boiling, a play written by Sunhui Chang and directed by Ellen Sebastian Chang, this past April at the Magic Theater in SF. Ms. Anderson will next be seen as Motormouth Maybelle, in SF Playhouse’s Summer 2026 production of Hairspray.

Phaedra Tillery-Boughton (Host) is a Bay Area theater artist, producer, and show-stopping host who blends bold storytelling with undeniable glamour. Recently seen in The Day the Sky Turned Orange with SFBATCO and Fat Ham at SF Playhouse, she has hosted SFBATCO’s I, Too, Sing America album release, SFBATCO’s 2nd Annual Gala, and Theatre Bay Area’s Spring Soirée bringing sparkle, sophistication, and soulful flair to every stage.
Thaddeus Pinkston

Thaddeus Pinkston (Music Director) has been a member of the YC and Studio A.C.T. faculty for 12 years. As the YC Cabaret Program accompanist, he plays and arranges music for the Musical Ensemble, Cabaret Ensemble, Middle School Cabaret Ensemble, and a number of special events and musical theater classes. Thaddeus was musical director and co-composer for “Saint Tous” which premiered at La Mama along with Broadway Legend Andre De Shields. He also musical directed and toured with the Fifth Dimension’s rendering of “Ain’t Misbehavin” and served Musical Director for The Color Purple's Benefit Concert in San Francisco. He has accompanied a host of stellar performers and ensembles for American Conservatory Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theater, Telluride Jazz Festival, Jazz Legend Stan Getz, Blues icon singer Koko Taylor known as the “The Queen of the Blues,” American folk singer Joan Baez, Maurice Hines, Freda Payne, and Jennifer Holiday.

based in the Bay Area. They are excited to once again work with SFBATCO to facilitate a safe & organized environment where creativity and collaboration can breathe new life into classic Black works.
